Jeffery K. Rhodes, DDS
I am a 1987 graduate of the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. While in dental school, I joined the United States Navy Dental Corps and upon graduation was commissioned as a Lieutenant 03. I always wanted to serve my country as many of my family members are veterans and this was my way of giving back. I was fortunate enough to be stationed in beautiful San Diego, California where I spent the next four years providing dental care to the sailors and marines of the Pacific Fleet. One advantage of beginning my dental career in the Navy was having the opportunity to learn more advanced dental procedures under the watchful eye of board certified dental specialists. I was able to become more skilled and comfortable with oral surgery and endodontics working side by side with experts in the field.
When I completed my tour of duty, private practice was calling me. I returned home to Western Maryland to establish my practice where I have been providing quality dental care since 1991. Many of our patients ask me why I wanted to become a dentist. Simply put, dentistry provides me and my staff with the opportunity to help people. Each day we guide our patients to make a more conscientious decision to practice proper oral hygiene.
We have successfully assisted thousands of patients to achieve a healthier smile and ultimately improved overall health.
My wife, Karrey and I live in Cumberland and have raised three wonderful sons. Kyle, Liam and Sean grew up in Allegany County and have since spread their wings to other locations which we enjoy visiting on a regular basis. The beautiful mountains and outdoor activities in our area allow me to bike, fish, golf and enjoy the great outdoors. During the winter months I stay active refereeing high school basketball. Traveling is also a favorite pastime of mine and I look forward to continuing to visit all 50 states as well as other places abroad.
We welcome you to our practice and look forward to helping you with your smile.
